Already a successful pioneer businesswoman, Hattie operated several cottages on her family land before building the original 15-room Bearskin Motel. Today, the Bearskin Lodge represents the same family values, welcoming environment, and exceptional service, down to the bearskin rug displayed in the lobby, just like its predecessor used all those years ago.
